Someone I love passed away yesterday. He finished living his life. He did some good things.
As far as what he didn’t do, or couldn’t do, is there really a difference?

I’m sorry. No, it doesn’t make a difference, just like being divorced doesn’t mean you suddenly stop caring.

I am so sorry. I hope now that you will find some sort of closure and peace. Thinking of you.

As the old saying goes, we’re called to do what we can, not what we can’t. In the end, I suppose we’re the only ones who know the difference.
It’s strange – you’ve spent so much time grieving your relationship, and now it’s time to grieve a life. It all gets so mixed up, it’s a wonder any of us sort it out.
